Counselling
There are times when life can feel particularly challenging. You might be feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, alone, confused, stuck or disconnected.
Counselling offers a space to make sense of your experiences, understand your feelings, and find ways of moving forward that feel right for you.
The foundation of counselling is a safe and supportive relationship where you feel accepted, respected and understood. I aim to understand your experience from your perspective, without judgement.
Counselling can help you to manage difficult emotions, develop self-awareness and self-acceptance, and find healthier ways of relating yourself and others.
I tailor my approach to your individual needs so that we can find a way of working together that will be most helpful and healing for you.
My approach is person-centred, which means that your needs and goals are my focus. I respect your beliefs, your values, and the unique way you see the world. We can work together at your pace.

Initial Consulation
I offer a free initial consultation, which lasts for up to 30 minutes. This can be over the phone or by video call.
An initial consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, for you to ask any questions you have and to decide if we might be a good fit.
It is also a chance for me to find out a little about what brings you to counselling, what you feel are the most important issues you would like support with, and what you hope to get from the process (these are things we can explore together if you are not quite sure).
There is no obligation to continue working with me after an initial consultation. It is important that you find a counsellor you feel comfortable with.
Counselling In Person and Online
I offer in-person counselling in Beeston, Nottinghamshire and online counselling via video call.
Sessions last for 50 minutes, and usually take place at the same time each week.
Some people find that longer or more frequent sessions work for them. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss this.
For online counselling, it is important that you have a private space where you will not be interrupted or overheard.
Whether we meet in person or online, I hope that you will be comfortable in our sessions. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you feel more at ease, and feel free to wear comfortable clothes, bring a cup of tea, use a fidget toy - whatever works for you.
Pricing
The fee for an individual counselling session is £45.
I have a limited number of spaces offered at a concessionary rate for students and people on a low income.
